Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the creative process and individual techniques of T.V. drama script writing. The researcher used a qualitative approach by in-depth interviewing 6 T.V. drama script writers. In addition, textual analysis was used to analyze the content of 12 T.V. drama scripts broadcasted during 2005-2007. Research findings are original scripts, plots and themes, together with some subplots added later to meet the required time for the drama production (30 hrs.) were used. Moreover, the script writing process consists of building inspiration, reading, researching, creating a plot, treatment, scenario and play-text.
